Synopsis:

A London bank holds millions of pounds in used banknotes awaiting incineration. Sensing an opportunity, a group of thieves devise an ingenious plan to steal this "easy money".

The action takes place during the World Cup and the gang uses this for cover. As the story develops we are brought closer to the robbers and begin to understand the different characters and the dynamic within the team.

The plan begins when they check-in early for a flight to Germany. With their alibi established and time to spare, they then sneak out to the car park, into a van and leave the airport.

They drive to the centre of town and spectacularly smash the rear of the van through the doors of the bank. When the van violently wedges into the debris, one of the gang is thrown through the back window and badly injured.

Knowing they have a deadline to be back at the airport and board their plane, the group of men leap into action. The injured member becomes a priority and changes the direction of their plan. Is he now a liability?

With the only way in to the bank blocked, the police are forced to try and negotiate with the robbers through the crumpled van. When the robbers refuse to negotiate, the police are forced to sit tight and play a waiting game.

When the police finally mount an assault on the bank, they find that the robbers have vanished and the vaults are empty

But the story doesn't end there!
